According to Chuck the 78 was the first year for the support strut. I have one on my np203 - th350 78 k5. I replaced the Np203 with a NP205-th350. I'm still working out the support strut as it does not fit with the np205 swap.. it is to short.

Good photo of the t-case support strut.

I have the frame mount for a 72 but it falls short on the 78 frame. According to Chuck the frame was changes this year.

I'm still looking for a good solution to supporting the np205 in the 78 k5.

bump - was there ever a support strut for a NP205 TH350? What year truck would I need this from?

I have one on the garage, but I don't know if it was for a 205. If you give me a dimension of the one you need I will check.

I would be willing to part with it for a reasonable price if it will work for you also.

Measured and it is 26 and 1/4 inch from bellhousing mounting surface to center of front hole for TCase. This is the measurement on the rod itself. I also held it up to my 205/350/350 setup and looks like it is right to fit.

Let me know if you want it or pics.
