np203 issues

my np203 likes to either stick in low loc or low only. once it was even stuck in netural. it seems to take alot of effort to get it to shift in between gears. should i just purchase the dual shifter kit for it or is it more serious than it seems to be??

How does your shifter linkage look? Should it be cleaned up and adjusted? My 203 linkage shifts great now that I cleaned it. I was on the verge of having to kick it into gear before I realized it had 20 years of dirt and crap on it.

i will have to climb under there and clean it mines probably the same way.

Probably already checked this, but is there gear oil in the t-case? A buddy of mine got stuck in neutral and it wouldn't shift because he had lost all of the gear oil in his t-case.

oh and if you have the extra cash i would go ahead and twin stick it. i had alot of probs with my shifter so i built my own twin stick and it turned out great.

i would also like to see your twin stick setup and possible some info on how to do it your self. of course i dont think oru is that badly priced to get it all but i like tinkering with stuff. so i might try it.

well i don't have a digi camera and it's allready in stalled but i'll see if i can borrow my neighbors camera.

as for what i did was i used part of the original shifter housing to attach my new shifters to and connected the to the old levers with some small heim joints. then i made the shifter out 1/2" round stock.
