np205 rebuild manuals

What you want is a "Unit Overhaul Manual" or an "Overhaul Manual" for your year model. This is the separate GM shop manual dealing with rebuild of transmissions, engines, TCs, etc. Should be able to find one from one of the auto literature dealers in Hemmings or possibly on ebay.
If you think you can use the 1971 manual chapter concernign rebuilding the 205, let me know, I could copy mine and send it to you.

No problem - the chapter including the stuff about adapters is 11 pages. I'll try to copy and scan, that way I can e-mail it. If this works, anyone else?

I found the information to rebuild my 205 in a Haynes manual for the '67-'81 Chevy Truck. It was complete and accurate information. I don't use that manual for anything else since I have the FSM, but it was definitely handy for the transfer case information (it is not covered in the FSM).
