NP208 Fluid Capacity, Bone to pick...

I should have check that mm but, I usually just ignore metric. A quarter inch makes sense.

Just looked at the 91 shop manual and it shows 4.6 pints for the NP241C

I wasn't going to bring that up, but are the fill plugs in different locations for the 208 and 241, or are the cases pretty near similar in terms of capacity and fill height?

My 208 and 241 were the same. I fill my 241 until it starts to run out. Because I know it will leak down to and past the correct level.

I think GM screwed up somewhere on the 241 fill spec. Which is why I was curious about the 208 design/spec.

2.5qts (5pts) is right at the fill plug on the 241, but many seem to end up with 2.5pts once the case gets done puking it.

As GM used the fill plug level for most everything else I can think of with one (differentials, sm465), it would seem odd for the t-case to be different.

That said, the drivers drop GM 241s have a design flaw with the breather setup (from my perspective at least, and given they changed it later) and higher fluid levels seem to often expose that issue. I dont recall hearing the same about the 208.
