If your rear driveshaft goes boom you can remove it and put your tc in 4Hi and run around in front wheel drive. With the slip yoke, you arent going anywhere.
400 for a rebuilt 241 isnt bad, they are going for ~500 on ebay. I'm looking for one myself.
hmmm, dosnt seem so bad considering you get a cv shaft, might need one of those eventually. ill have to think about it, i dont think id ever break a ujoint or shaft but, hey you never know i guess. I also have no idea the price of a cv shaft.
also have not had a chance to check the tcase fluid yet, i hope after all this, this is not the problem. I wouldnt think that would be it though, probably would be harder to shift
