NP208 Speedo Drive Gear

Looking now at both options, is there any particular advantage to buying the $50 housing/gearset vs. the $60 correction box (other than the $10, of course)?

Mixed reviews on the web. Some have problems, some have no issues with them, and some (like the previous poster with the 241) had no choice.

For me, the decision was simple enough. I'm rebuilding the t-case. The money difference is minimal so I'd rather just put in the proper gears while I'm in there.

Thanks for the help. According to the links provided my drive gear should be a 15 with the 208 transfer case but considering it came stock with 2.73 axle gears, this might not be the case. "As I have read"

According to the drive/driven calculators online, a 15 tooth drive gear with 4.56 axle gears and 35 inch tires will require a 40 tooth driven gear. I guess all that is left is to verify if I have a 15 tooth drive gear.

Well check it out.
If you don't have it I might have one in my stash of np208s

Wasn't trying to revive a 5 year old post or Hi-Jack the thread I just found this post and it had very useful information. Apparently the NP208 had a 15 tooth gear if I had different stock gears. With my super high gears (2.73) I should have an 18 tooth. But I will verify. Apparently no driven gear is available for the 18 tooth drive gear.
