NP241 Doubler

Well, here's the finished interior shot. I installed new carpet that I purchased from Home Depot. I cut and sewn it to custom fit. I think it looks OK.

Daniel, do you have a pick of the 241 shifter? My bud was just going to use a handle since it will be right there next to his seat (In a Cj).

Just leave it in Low-Low when you park and if sombody ever steals it you can catch them on foot!

hey daniel, if you have the time do you think you could get a measurement from the mounting surface of the 241 to the rear yoke centerline of your atlas please? Also how long is your rear driveshaft, and what angle is it running at? Thanks.

are your brakes able to stop it in 11.7:1 or do you have to put it into neutral?

Sure thing. Give me a few and I will get back to you on that.

Here's some measurements for you.

The tcase length from the from mounting surface of the 241 to the mounting surface of the 1350 CV flange is 20.5". This does not include the 241 adapter width.

The rear driveshaft length is about 33.5" from the flange mounting surface to the center of the rear ujoint. That's with 9" of lift in the rear.

The rear driveshaft angle is 18.7 degrees accounting for the angle in the flange. The rear pinion is pointing at the driveshaft due to using the CV.

The front driveshaft is 38".

Like I have mentioned, the primary reason for use the 241 doubler was to gain front driveshaft length. The extra gears are nice too...

Let me know if you have any other questions.

awesome thanks, one more quick question, does the 700r4 and the 241 take the same adapater and shaft as a th350 and a np208? I have a rough measurement of my adapeter, and it is about 5" from tranny mounting surface to t.c. mounting surface, is this about what yours is too? Thanks again i really appreciate the help.

I used the 241 passenger drop 241 adapter. The TH350 output shaft is 1" shorter than the 700R4. An example is the Atlas adapter. The main mount / adapter is the same for the TH350 and 700R4, but the 700R4 has an additional 1" round spacer that takes up the extra 1" of the 700R4 output shaft. Make sense?

Makes sense, thanks for clearing that up.
