Np241 Selector shaft Seal

Does anyone have tricks to get this apart? From what I have read some sound like there is a regular oil seal in there and some things read as a plastic spacer is there and a o-ring below....

Any help is appreciated

All I can suggest is pulling up the appropriate manual in the link in my sig, and looking at the GM diagrams to see if you can get the part from GM still, or cross reference it.

I'd be surprised if the 208 didn't use the same piece, but can't be certain, since that 241 was a one-year deal.

I used a pick or two and sort of spun the plastic piece out...I had to dig in a little, but it was still usable. I don't remember the o ring giving any issues.
