I just got my crossmember wrapped up in my K5, I really don't like the angle it's going to give me at stock height.

Drop crossmember 1/2" and the angles are decent, but still not good enough for me. I drive my truck hard, and I'd rather not replace u-joints monthly.

Leaves me with doing a SYE, may as well step up to a 1410 and or a CV while I'm there... Called my driveshaft shop, I can't swallow a 500$ shaft, so I'm going to stick to a non CV shaft, or build something of my own..

If I choose to go with a non CV shaft, I'd like to step up to the 1410 but I can't seem to find larger than a 1350. Any pointers?

I've seen several pointers towards HAD, but I can't find any prices on the site, if anybody has those also...

Thanks in advance.

FWIW, this is a 6.0/4L80E/241 with 14BFF 6" springs

But they're closed right now :(

Haha, I planned to call tomorrow, just like to have a decent knowledge base so I don't waste time and sound a fool

On another note, how stupid would it be to modify a front CV shaft to work as a rear shaft?

I assume the most expensive part to build them is the CV, once could assume I could have them re-tube it with a larger tube, new slip, and 1410 yoke and be done yes?

could . but ford stupid dutys used 1350 c/v heads on there rears . more common used in our builds.

I quite literally read about this and came back here to modify my thread.:D

From what I've read, the flange will bolt onto a 32 spline 241 yoke with the 3" bolt circle 2" center bore, and the other end is a 1350 u-joint which will bolt into my 14b yoke fine.

Now, another question, I haven't delved into this quite yet.. Is the front yoke a 32 spline, on that 3" bolt center with 2" bore?

Meaning, I could buy the cheaper SYE kit, and swap a yoke from one of the 3 cases I had to buy to build my case and ride out?

This is excluding any necessary tube length modifications..

208/241 front output yoke is 32 spline.

there common swap on 205 t-case . just different seal needed in that swap .
