Found np241 with mechanical speedo

I need to swap the input shaft on my 208 for the 700r4 going in and I'd rather just upgrade to the np241 with the 700r4 input shaft.

I'm in DC and I'll drive up to 100 miles one way to get one, must be in road ready shape!

try car-part.com this is the mid Atlantic area. you need the 89 only as it is the only 241 with mechanical speedometer.

So the 89 Blazer or Suburban have the 241 mechanical one?
 
I understand 89, but are the 241 in both the suburbans and blazers? Never had anything that new lol.
 
thank you. Edit on the above post. I did have an 89 1500 suburban with that tcase. Only had it for a week and never drove it.
 
Still need one of these! My 700r4 from Phoenix Transmission has shipped and I don't feel like swapping the input shaft on the np208.
 
I have a good one, but I think freight would kill it. I've cleaned it up, but it needs re-sealed. Other than that, it worked great. I would have to get $300 to part with it + the ride.

Yea that is a lot of shipping, there is one local for $200 but its behind a sm465 so I’d be swapping shafts in it as well.
 
If you find a 90 or 91 with the VSS, I’ll swap my mechanical with ya. No shipping worries and probably a cheaper case to find.
 
I’m in D.C. now so shipping to Cali isn’t an option for me. I was up in 29 Palms before here.
 
Meaning, if you find a good 90/91 passenger side drop case with a 27 or 32 spline input gear, and VSS, pick it up. I would trade you my 27 spline and cable speedo for the other stuff. All we would be doing is shipping those specific parts in a flat rate USPS box. Just giving you an option if you find something cheap that isn't quite what you want.
 
Right on I can do that. These things are hard to find in either configuration around here.

I'll be picking up a 1990 np241 on Thursday or Friday this week, so once I get it I'll pull the VSS cover off and send it your way.

Now I just need to figure out how to pull mine off. It is currently an SYE rear, but it's not the super shorty version which is good.
Make sure that '90 241 is a passenger side drop for a Chevy. 241c

Picked it up today and its the right one, I'll pull the speedo housing off next week.
