I have a crossmember under it right now...and a piece of plywood and a 4x4 chunk of lumber. Gonna fetch my tube bender tomorrow as well as a chunk of tube I have set aside and do some crossmember building. Gonna have to go in to work after hours and build it i guess.

I ended up using some alignment bolts to suck it up against the clutch disc a little, then put a bar on one of the yokes and slowly rotated until I could feel it engage the disc. Then I slowly worked it in the rest of the way using those bolts and eventually the correct bolts. I just kept an eye on how square it was to the bellhousing face. The bolts never got really tight, just a steady fairly low torque to pull it all together. Once it was through the disc the pilot bearing gave me no trouble at all.

NICE looks sexy in there.........

I may still hack two areas of the floor to gain a bit of belly height...or I may just leave it the way it is. Too tired to decide at this point. Looks like I could go up another 1 1/2" at the 205 without having the doubler adaptor hit the more forward part of the tunnel. I'm leaning towards doing that...it'll make the underside that much more 'flat'.

Currently the 205 is clocked up 3", which looks like it'll work out fine.

It'll probably be a few days before I get any new progress pic's, but I will add them to this thread when I get that far.

so you've got the 205 clocked 3"? do you have a body lift? could you post pics from underneath with it bolted in? thanks. looks great!

1" body lift. I'll snap some pics tomorrow when there is better light...

Rene

Looks like it'll be about 34"...maybe a hair less. Front looks like 39" or so. I have to get it at final height first and then go from there.

What is your wheelbase? I have a 700 with 208 and 106 for wheel base and my rear shaft is right at 30" from joint to joint.

Ira

My wheelbase is ~109" right now. The rear is 1" back, the front is 1.5" forward. The rear seems short to me, with the 465/205 the rear shaft was 42" or 43"...

You think thats short you should see a Heep rear drive shaft.

I sware the thing is 6 inches :eek1:

This allows me to make fun of my friend because I have a longer shaft than he does. :p:
