Yes another one. But no this time its not another "What long tubes wont hit my shackles thread" :)

I want to switch my long tubes to mid lengths. I plan I actually putting a full exhaust in my truck and want to switch to mid length headers because the collectors are so far below the frame and the way they point my exhaust is super close to my new square shaft.

Anyone have some pictures of mid lengths and corresponding part numbers and brands?

I want to keep everything up in the frame as I plan on flat bellying it.

get some tri-y's... mid length with great flow..

I got some from White or Whites performance out of Ten, off ebay. But I just checked out their web site, looks like all they do now is boat engines. Their web site was tied into tbi chips web site.

I may live in Texas, but I am from California and I want to move back there someday. That said, until I completely ruin my K5 it is still street legal, and I'd like to keep it that way as long as possible. Anyone have a good lead on some good CARB legal headers for my 89?

Pretty sure theres shorties out there that were made for 80s camaros and trans ams with AIR tubes.

I don't have AIR tubes though and shorties blow ass. I guess I will just have to look harder and it'll probably be expensive.

Hedman 69230, they are full length but they stay above the frame.

I have them on my buggy, couldn't ask for a better high clearance header for these trucks :thumb:

Some CARB legal for MY 89 K5

If anyone cares I found some CARB legals. They all have a little bit different options, smog pumps, dual smog pumps, AIR, heat riser, non heat riser, natural, nickel chrome, ceramic coated, stainless steel, etc. They were found at Summit.

Did you know that Doug Thorley makes headers to put an Olds 403-455 in a Blazer? Me neither. But Summit sells them.

Yeah not sure if those qualify as mid length headers or what but they are definitely the right ones if clearance is more important than that extra 2 horsepower :pimp:

I've got them on my K5 too, they clear everything really nicely.
