Very interesting... I had no idea you could kill a sensor by just having the silicone stuff exposed in the atmosphere...

Isn't WD-40 silicone based :S

Yeah I've some products that state 'lambda sensor safe' and 'o2 sensor safe'.
Mind you.....that stuff does kinda smell funny!
