Putting a new exhaust on the Jimmy and I need a weld in bung for the O2 sensor, anybody know where to get one? I thought I could just get one at an autoparts store but, they don't seem to carry them, DOH! Also, what size is it, 87 GMC Jimmy, 350 TBI. Thanks!:D

Summit has em. I bought one. Not really worth the 3 dollars, quite honestly, but couldnt find one. I have a pic of it somewhere... look for my bring er back thread, I know its in there.

You can however, go to home depot, and fit one up in their nuts bin. I think they do have them that large. If you go that route, make sure they have a thin nut, so that the o2 goes in deep enough.

Here ya go.

All O2 sensor threads are 18mm x 1.5mm.

Go here for a good selection: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+4294859977+115+4294859578

SWEET! Thanks y'all! And thnks for the link! Hmm, Home Depot? I went to Lowe's and they didn't have anything, maybe HD might though, I think I'll just go ahead and order one though, thankls! Wow, they sure do have a variety of prices for the same basic thing don't they?:eek1:

Pookster, thanks for the pics! That's exactly what I need to do! Perfect! Thanks for the help!:waytogo:

:D I cant tell you the number of times I've found the answers on here from another member, glad to be of help (once!).

Oh, and another thing.. if you want to save a few bucks, you can use ANY single wire O2. Even if the connectors arent the same, just make a good solder and heat shrink it. I got mine off ebay for 5 dollars shipped.

I also put it in the collector- you can put it where you like but that is going to be the hottest pickup point. If your doing a stock y setup, if you can find somewhere where the two banks meet up that would work better (as your acutally getting the 02 readings from both sides). I only have it setup to one side (true duals). And last I checked, the TBI ecu's arent advanced enough to have sensors for both sides.

I had to go to a local bolt/nut supplier, no luck at the generic hardware stores, but for $1.50 or so (I think) I was out the door. If they've got it, you really want a jam nut, as they are thinner and put the O2 sensor more in the "stock" position in the exhaust stream.

Your local muffler shop should have them. If you order from summit you're going to pay 10.95 for handling charge on top of the price. Not worth it IMO.
