Never heard of a 15 bff.
It should just be the difference from the axle centerline to the top of the spring perch. So the radius of the axle tube plus spring perch height.
I think its more like 1/2”

Guess it depends on your spring perches, factory 3/4 ton vs fab and the built in rise.
I doubt it would make much difference but something to consider would be the cast perches found on most C/K 20’s v/s the stamped steel perches found on most SRW C/K 30’s - also square 14B FF’s came in 3-3/8” & 3.5” axle tube diameter's.
I would think of it as combating the rear sag
Dana 60 front swap alone is 1" taller . When i did my first swap thats how much i gained .
