Offers on your truck

@1-ton
I'll give you 1500 bucks for your dented up truck. Or trade for my 305 powered 1/2 ton 2wd 94 Chevy with painted black stock wheels.

I'm 6'2"-250lbs and I carry a 6 shooter 22.
So don't even think about messing with me.

I would not be nearly as annoyed if the "Question" was genuine/serious, But I have actually had people walk up and as "Is It For Sale" and I know they were not asking about anything specific. For all I know they could have been asking about the bushes in the front yard. One time my truck was parked across the street. Go figure.

I know that feeling well. I have have about six people knock on my door to see if my Motor home was for sale, It is parked in front of my Blazer, which is at the back of the car port and not visibly from the street.

I've had 5 or 6 people come ask if I'd sell the red 12 valve Cummins Dodge, the best offer I ever got on it was $4500, and that was from a guy who stopped and asked on 4 separate occasions who already has a pretty decent collection that includes a couple rock bouncers, a 68 GMC mega truck, a Duramax powered H1 Hummer and tons of other cool stuff.

I've had two offers on the Blazer, one for $800 and the other $1000.

Man, here you can't find a beat down POS 12 valve for under $8k it seems.

I haven't had any offers on mine yet. But I don't exactly drive mine into town very often.

You have a Cummins?

I think so.

94 12 valve NV4500 2wd, 157,000 miles.

Yes the dash is perfect.

It's been sitting since 2009, and It's kind of my "back burner" project, It needs all the fuel lines cleaned out, It's hard as hell to start cold, and idles super low until it gets warm. It needs a windsheild and a back window, and some of the wiring needs redone. The headlights have a mind of their own, the wipers work when they feel like it, and the shutoff solenoid won't pick itself up.

Do what I'm doing and put that mess in a chevrolet. Then people will quit asking about it.

That's the best way to get attention around here.

Chevy + Diesel = Everyone and his brother and his dog wants it.
6.2 and 6.5 trucks bring WAY more money that they should, Duramax trucks are made of gold plated platinum, Any GM product with a diesel that wasn't born in it will bring 5 times it would otherwise.

There is a 94 280,000 mile 3/4 ton 4wd Chevy with a 6.5 and an automatic that has $6500 on the windshield.

That's a cool Truck.

Thanks! It was my dad's last real "project". It originally was a farm fresh 3/4 ton SRW. My dad bought a 96 one ton V10 factory dually and took it's 3.92 geared DRW Dana 80, it's bed, and front spindles. I know he put a little bit of work into the engine itself, but I've got no paperwork or proof of anything, All I know firsthand is that the fuel plate has been removed and it's got aftermarket injectors of some kind. I know it was dyno-ed in 2007 when it made 300-ish HP and 800-ish TQ, I had a sheet for that but I haven't seen it in years.
It took us on vacations and trips to buy stuff all over, Yooperlandia, Central Ontario, South coast of Alabama, NYC, Central Wyoming, and basically everywhere in between.

My dad still had plans for this truck when he lost his right leg and couldn't really continue with it. He was planning on converting it into a 4wd, He had a Dana 60 and custom Alcan springs to go under the front. but he sold it all off once he couldn't work on it anymore. It's basically been sitting since then.

This how it looked as of 2007.

And how it sits next to the 95 half ton with a 3 inch lift and 35 inch Toyo M/T's.

Seriously, can I park my trucks down there for a while? I have two diesels that I wanna unload later this summer, and neither would bring crazy money up here.

That's nuts.

And I just noticed, it would look better without those stupid towing mirrors. Those chrome three post mirrors are better.
