Official 4x4 pic thread

i used to have a harley that looked alot like that, the snow mobile looks bitchen, one of the craziest things i have ever did is when i visited my buddy in Vermont and he and i hooked up with a bunch of his buds on snow mobiles. he let me ride his Artic Cat 600 limited that was tricked out, put out like 125 hp, he rode an older Yamaha 500. i had never rode one before. it didn't take long to get used to it, by then we were on trails not much wider then the sled was, lined with tree's hiting as much as 85 mph! in open snow covered fields, 110 maybe 115 mph!. after i hit 100 i stopped looking down to check how fast i was going, but it kept pulling hard and gaining speed with out effort thats for sure.

Thanks, snowmobiling is practically my life! That one is a 900cc that puts out 150hp stock and only weighs 500pounds dry! It is a blast, it only tops out at about 85 though, mountain sleds are set up much diferently than short trackers since top end speed is not very important in the mountains.

I'm drooling. I'd kill to have something to go climb the backcountry bowls and hills with the big boys. I've got a 97 polaris XLT with the 800 with the longtrack and deep paddles. it used to be awesome and go anywhere the new sleds could. but after the stoner at the shop worked on it it hasn't run right since. It's almost like I'm down a cylinder and I've got a bunch of oil leaking from in between the head and the block. I'm hoping to get it back up and running in it's prime before the snow falls.

Okay, so I've had some time off lately, which I spent primping and shining before taking a late season trip to the beach, where I took some totally shameless bling-bling glamour shots of my '86. At the risk of losing all credibility, here they are...

Naaa, thats SWEET!! How do you like those tires?

Oh and thats a clean first gen stepside! :D

Thanks for not tearing me apart, guys... For those who asked, I'm running 12" Superlift springs with 44" Ground Hawgs. Just installed the ORD shackle flip about a week ago and did away with the rear blocks. (A great product if anybody's considering it) Still have the 10-bolts front and rear (next big upgrade), but I do have them stuffed with 5.38 gears, which make a ton of difference. 383 stroker with the 700R4 and an Art Carr shifter gets a mighty 5mpg city, 8 hwy. And the absolute best, number one upgrade you can make to your Blazer, CB radio with the optional $8.00 PA speaker. Nothing like being 8 feet tall and sounding about 10 times louder than God when you're sqwaking at people as you roll by...

I'll follow up with some mud pics soon. (Yeah, I do get it dirty too...)

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot. For the record:

I LOOOOOVE those Ground Hawgs. I had 38" radials before I went to the bias, and they were great too. (Wish they made them bigger in radial.) But even the bias aren't bad. Was out tonight with a friend who commented that he thought the Blazer rode better than his 2004 Ford dualie. (I had that big sumbitch up to 80 on the way to the beach, if that tells you anything. Eased off when I actually SAW the gas gauge moving :doah: ) And you pretty much have to try to get them stuck off road. I tell anyone who asks that I think they are the best tire you can put on your truck, bar none.

And that red stepside is AWESOME, by the way.
