Oil is literally dripping off of the passenger front motor mount. And soaking everything behind it.
Under the valve cover and top of the exhaust is all basically dry.

Can oil come out of a head gasket without getting into a cylinder or the coolant?
Fuel pump gasket maybe...?
I'm drawing a blank as to what else it could be at the moment :dunno:

Hard to tell if fuel pump or head gasket.
I would wash it off with brakekleen and see where it comes from.

Just now pulled it in the shop. Hosed it with brake clean before it came in.
I'm going to hand wipe everything I can in a bit, drive it around a little tomorrow, and see if it leaks in a noticable place.

That hole there to help change the fuel pump. Remove short bolt install longer bolt, do not over tighten, just a little more than waving a wrench at it. This will keep the drive rod from dropping when you remove pump. Make putting new pump back easier.
If you loosen old pump, turn engine by hand till top of drive rod stroke, then snug the drive rod bolt. Do the swap. Do not forget to remove longer drive rod holding bolt. Put sealer on short bolt and install

I never knew that was there either.
All I've ever done is monkey fork around with it until I got it together and bolts in.

I'm learning a bunch of chit in this thread.

You use a longer bolt to hold the fuel pump rod up, when putting a new pump on. Then once installed, you remove that bolt and put the small one back in with some thread sealer.

If you have no bolt there, oil goes all over the place.

I just learned that too.
I always wondered how people handled that rod, I put grease on it to hold it in place and put my fuel pump.
The bolt makes it easier

Actually neither of the threaded holes in that spot go all the way in. So it can't be done on my block. So I did it the old fashioned way.

I wondered that. I was going to go look at the 350 on the stand to see. Just haven't yet.
