Oil pan skid plate????

I need to know how important it is to have an oil pan skid plate. I can't seem to find much on this when searching.

Do most of you have an oil pan skid plate?

Very few people run them, the oil pan is pretty hard to hit on K-series trucks.

In fact, the only two I've ever seen were on the two ORD trucks.

Yeah, umm, it's called the front axle -- or the tie rod

Seriously, you'd have to be doing something REALLY contorted to have rock-to-oilpan contact.
