I have a 1984 Chevy K5 Blazer with a carbed 350 in it and the oil pressure guage is pegged at 60. I disconnected the sensor itself which is located by the oil filter if I'm correctly informed and the guage itself still moves a bit. So I have a question: When I unplug the sensor itself should the guage drop back to the left or peg itself at 6 still? And what could cause it to constantly stay at 60?

Every oil pressure sender i've seen is located behind the intake manifold just to the drivers side of the distributor.
