I have 2 oil breathers in my valve covers and they seem to be leaking oil out of the actual breather. Would it be safe to remove these and install plugs? What causes this excessive pressure?

blow-by and no it will just find another way out, i have tried that and oil shot out of the dip stick, got oil every where
No you've got to let the motor breath. Run a pipe into your air cleaner via a PCV. That should help but it sounds like you need a set of rings or more!
