Ok I am losing my mind on this interior lighting

So I have a dumb question and I'm guessing its probably not related to my issue. I bought a set of those LED headlights on Amazon. I read that I might need repin the connectors for proper operation.

At the same time, I installed a new Painless headlight relay wiring harness so the headlights run off of the relays in the painless kit.

When it was all said and done, all 4 headlights come on together so I'm assuming I need to re-pin them.

The relay harness is grounded and fused.

The only other I've done recently is install amber LED bulbs in the front for turn signals

Did all four lights work correctly before the LED and relay job?

Yes sir. I'm going to disconnect the headlight harness and try the headlight switch. I looked and I don't have any wiring on the passenger side related to the interior lights. Only thing I have on PASS side is speaker.

I just want to say I hope you figure out this problem, but also that I'm greatly enjoying this thread.
Carry on.

Disconnected the headlight harness and fuse still blows. It pops as soon as it hits the first stop when pulling switch which is park lamps

You have trailer hook up, would start there looking for the grounded park circuit.

SOLVED and fixed!!!

Who wants to know what is was? I feel like a moron but I fixed a lot of issues and potential issues in the process so I am happy.

LED parking lamps in one way or another?

I won't keep y'all waiting. I picked up a new license plate light lens and installed it a couple weeks ago. I used a longer screw than was needed and it went straight through the power wire and grounded the power wire to the body. Makes sense, the park lamps also activate the LP light. I went under the truck and ALL of the factory loom was gone from the power rear window and park/tail light wiring etc. I spent an hour and a half under there cleaning the wiring with a soapy towel and installing all new braided loom. It looks so much better and now is protected. When I was in the back, I looked at the LP light and thought "Hmm just for grins, let me make sure I didn't pinch a wire in there somehow" and as soon as I dropped the whole light body down, I say and screamed for joy. I got a smaller screw and taped the wiring real well. Bam! Everything works correctly now.

This is why many vehicles get scrapped that have electrical gremlins..
Many shops aren't really interested in spending a day or more looking for the cause, and want big bucks for "diagnosis"..

My friend has found many electrical issues other shops either gave up on or told the owner it'd cost a fortune to pin down the cause--he hates doing this type of repair,in his own words "I spend a day or two looking for the cause, blow multiple fuses, then if I finally find the issue,it takes me 10 minutes to fix it...how do I tell a customer he owes me $500 for "two days of diagnosis" ?...
He usually lets them off cheap, but he loses a lot of money having their cars tying up his only bay for a day or more, when he could have made a thousand bucks doing brakes,exhaust,etc..

Glad you found the problem..its always worse when it turns out to be self inflicted though..been there, done that--many times..:doah:
I fried my share of wires hooking up stereos,CB's,8 track players and graphic equalizers in the day..
