I'm not sure about being more likely to break junk in a 10 bolt with a locker.
Except for overly large tires, every 10 bolt break I've seen has been because the tire spun madly and stopped. With front and rear lockers, it'd take all four tires spinning madly and then stopping to break like that.
On the other hand, there is a greater chance of putting all that torque through one axleshaft. I think for everything but rockcrawling you're better off with a locker in it. Rockcrawling you can easily put nearly all your torque through one tire and if that tire happens to be turned... SNAP.
