I just went over to thirdgens.org and they say that with the right pump, tuning, and chip it will support 380-400... I've heard diff numbers everywhere i go. Can yall sound off on this so i can get an idea how close/far i am to a 375-400 horse 2bbl tbi 355? Haven't been able to burn a chip and get to the dyno yet but im hoping somebody has done this b4:1zhelp:  :ears:

I don't know about on paper , but in someone I knows buggy which weighs 3000 lbs and has a 2bbl tbi on his big block , he can light up 38's with 4.10 gears :D

may I ask how you came up with that? What specs did you plug in? I used camel hump heads, and I even "ported" them to an astronomical amount of flow(flow you just won't go achieving on them) and only made 400HP at 5500 with your specs. cam specs are 270 duration and .470 lift right? or was it .447 lift?

My numbers were a little off because the dur. is +006 but ... 355, Canted/oval stock ports, stock valves(camel humps have oval ports right?) intake valve is 2.02, exh 1.50, 660 cfm, single plane manifold, actual dur is 272 but dyno says its 278, .447 lift, solid tappet cam, 4 degrees advance. Large tube headers with mufflers.

My first try at using this thing. I got it for free last night and i think my numbers would be more around 350 -375hp at 5000 but i need to call the builder and get the EXACT specs.

Change that to a Hydro cam set and watch the numbers plummet....

Are you really going to run a single plane manifold?
