Old City Park legal issues

No beer across the street

We’ll be guilty by association. Or even better, they will post a DUI check point and vehicle inspection down the street and we’ll all get tickets

No

What you guys need to understand and I have heard this about the city council.

It's not the policing of the park. It's the city council members or their friends rolling through trying to catch infractions.

Next time a group asks to use the park the answer is no. Why? Cause city council member x witnessed you drinking in the park and city council member y saw dogs in the park and city council member z saw someone at the park after it was closed.

None of this really needs to be proven is what I'm getting at. From things I've heard these guys are vehemently against off reading. A group I know was using the same park as we do. They were like many others, one drink or a couple beers no one will notice. About 20 minutes after their event started police showed up telling them to leave. This was an off road group

On the other hand I have heard ( I know) that there has been drinking at a non motorized type event ( disc golf) and nothing was said or done. And the park they were using was reserved for the next 3 years with almost no effort

So we just need to tell them we're having a yoga enthusiasts event and we'll be fine, although the council members may show up to join in on the fun...
The CK5 crew in yoga pants, without alcohol, and avoiding the downward dog pose. No one would kick that obviously fun-loving group out of a city park.

I picked the wrong year to miss.

You guys make me laugh.

I am glad to see that everyone seems to understand the situation. I think it sucks. Being my first year running BB, I thought I might get more push back.

Thanks for understanding that it's not me.

Reading thru the park rules I linked there is language that includes the parking area across the street in the rules. I can't remember now how it was worded but when I came across it I thought, "well that covers the parking area then".

Thanks for bringing up across the street and we all know it is included with the park. I didn't mean to stir up more I just wanted it to be out in the open so everyone knew.

I think your onto something Brent! I mean you and me in yoga pants out front oughta draw any and all attention away from other activities

This thread has gone way down hill, but Eric and Brent in Yoga pants beats the old pink thong discussions we had in years past.

Is there a way to get this to the people who register but are not ck5 members.
