Old Iron 2.0

I don't know about that. I want super simple, small and light. A 4 seater seems too be to much for what I would like to do.

She's torn down and ready for people to come pick their parts up or parts to be shipped out.

Kind of a love/hate thing but I know that there is something better in the future so I just look forward to that.

Well the parting out and selling of the K5 was a lot better and quicker than expected. The last of the parts should be out of here this weekend with only a few thing left over like a SM465 clutch kit, factory '73-'80 tow hooks and a few sets of shackles.

So now I get to start my parts collection and planning phase for the next project.

I'm going to be doing something a little different with the 6.0 LS engine that I have. I have also thought about the chassis from Bent Fab that is shown 3 posts above and between the cost of a new, fully welded chassis made by someone and the shipping it would cost to get out to Colorado it seems like I would be better off making my own... I believe I could buy a nice bender, dies, a nice chop saw and enough material to build a chassis for considerably less than if I bought something pre-made and had it shipped.

The only thing I'm unsure of is 4 link suspensions... I've learned mostly everything I know about working on vehicles by teaching myself, YouTube, the help of a few friends and by asking questions on here so I'm sure I can figure out how to get a good 4 link going but it is pretty foreign at this point to me.

A few pics of some "new" parts I've picked up for dirt cheap...

So make sure you read through @Blazooki 's "Shrunked Ned" thread on that. He had good bad and ugly with propane, learn from his experiences

I think it was pre LS, but there were a host of interesting malfunctions he worked through

The whole buggy thing is gonna be on hold for awhile, moving into a townhouse with a 1 car garage and don't think I'll have enough room to comfortably take on a project that big.

Soooo......

I picked this up today for $700. 1980 something K10 LWB, got it titled today but forgot the exact year. I think it's an '82. 350/TH350/NP205

So far everything works besides the A/C which has been unhooked.

Looks like smashed ass but that was kinda what I was in the market for.

700 and it runs. Exactly why I said to pass on the other...

It runs pretty good (from the 15 mile trip it took). It's got a Holley something or another on top of it.

Squeals good when turning the steering wheel to the right (PS-Pump?). Sounds like the brake pads are catching on the rotor on the passenger side too, gotta hit the brakes well before wherever you intend to stop also... they feel pretty light.
