I picked up a '91 F-250 XLT (4X4), to tow my K5, and other toys.

Came with:
- 135K on the 7.3l IDI non-turbo, basically stock.
- Trans. is brand new, and HD
- Billet Torque Coverter.
- T-case is brand new.
- 31" BFG A/T's.
- Tow package, w/ gooseneck hitch.
- Headache rack.
- Toolbox.

Since I've owned 'er:
- IP turned up 2 flats.
- Black paint.
- Black carpet.
- Black interior.
- Tinted windows.
- Ghost cab lights.
- New headlights.
- New grille.
- LED courtesy lights.



Future upgrades:
- Dana 60.
- Banks Turbo.
- Intercooler.
- Dual 6" stacks.
- Trans. temp., Pyro., and boost gauges
- All black everything.

Its a sweet rig, I just am required to fock with you as this is a chevy site . I was going to get a tow rig just like that until i got a suburban Boner. Boners are dangerous ya know and in my case expensive.

I used to have the same truck, just in blue. It was a good truck, very dependable just not very fast being non-turbo but got the job done. Oh and you don't need any lift to fit 35's. I had 315-75-r16 on 16x10 wheels on mine with no lift. It rubbed on the front part of the springs when at full lock but otherwise fit and looked good. Mine had 4:10s and would get a decent average of 14-17 mpg depending on how I drove and city or highway.

Man I miss that truck. Was just a good simple truck that worked.

May I ask why you would want to lift a tow rig? I know it makes them look sick but it screws over your fuel economy. Needless to say nice truck man and my friend has one identical. It survives hurricane Katrina and is still running strong. 250xxx miles.

Mine has 4.10's also.

My ONLY issue w/ this truck is the power window's.....
I hate power windows!

The lift is just an idea I had floating around.
Probably just leave it as is.

Skip the lift. You'll have enough trouble just keeping the front end aligned correctly.

TTB is awesome for it's long travel and beef capabilities...coil sprung TTB. Leaf sprung TTB...meh...not so much.

Just make sure the front end is straight up and down and in alignment, throw some tires you like on it, and use it to haul all day. Why put big tires and a lift on your good mpg getting tow rig? You'd just decrease it's ability to tow.

Actually, the front end couldn't be any straighter.
All measurements are dead-on.

The guy kept immaculate care of this rig.
That's why I bought it.

The ONLY thing wrong w/ it, is the dent in the cab.
That's it.

I'll just leave it as is.

Good to hear about the front end being straight. TTB get's maligned alot because people let them go and get loose and then it's a PITA to get everything back to spec and 100% shape.

Some Load Range E 33's would look pretty cool on it.

PO had the truck aligned every 3k miles.
Guy was crazy about maintenance.

I have a shoebox full of paperwork, for this thing.

2 coats of Rusto Flat Black....

I bought a gallon, and used a roller to apply it.
Went on smooth....

After the article in the latest Hot Rod about spraying on Rustoleum Satin Black paint on a Camaro I'm STRONGLY thinking about doing it myself again.
