Old VW bug hot/rods & cruisers?

Anybody have one or know anybody that has one? I like the ones that are a street vehicle, not the baja type. Also, what kind of mpg do they get and not all are equipped with a/c. Are there aftermarket a/c or lucky enough to get factory a/c?

Not a bug, but I might pick up another type 3 fasty. Come over to the VW dark side. Check out http://www.volksrods.com/They've got some nice ones. Bugs, type 3's, just about everything.

As for a/c, your lucky if you get a good heater. You could go for one of those funky VW swamp coolers that attach to the window. Hope that helps.

Nah i sold it to my friend in San francisco.once in a while its listed for sale on thesamba.com though.This pick is how looks now

have a friend that now has 4 in his yard. one is a fiberglass dune buggy of vw frame then the others are bugs. He also has a old porshe that is his son's. It is a big headach though. His son wrecked the '73 c20 the other day. You should see the f150! I will try and get some picks of his vws and let him know of the site mentioned. He said his wifey got good milage till he put new jugs and pistons on her motor when rebuilt and is up to in the 1700 cc range.
