Dark, I was surprised you didnt find the for sale ad on my burb- 83 6.2 heads were redone, tranny redone, new radiator, barn doors, dual AC... just 2wd though. it was half way between you and me, and I got it for 1150. I had to drive 2.5 hrs to get there! You'd be surprised but every so often cars.com has some really rediculously good priced trucks. I found my 92k2500 ext cab 6.2 with the 5 speed nv4500 for 2200. And I found a mint 89 c1500 with 86k on it one original owner, from california, for 1500.

wow!! Thats a cool burb even though 2wd. I would most definately be looking for that type of rig. I mean 4x4 is 4x4 4x4 is handy for some people who do not know how to drive in snow and all.. but not necessary for me. Main thing for me is comfort diesel and milage for a family rig
