ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

upagygyh.jpg

This is how it works.
It's 49 bucks at shiftworks.com

They removed the external neutral safety switch on mine, said I didn't need it, programmed it out. I had put a bran new one on there. You should still have the old factory one one the column, so it will not let it start in gear. The shifter linkage on the trans is the same as always when you remove the neutral safety switch. I will see about getting pics for you.

Great info!
Thanks!!

That's what I was thinking and pretty cheap if it works like it says

Since I went with the 6.2 liter diesel radiator I took the temp sensor out and put in a nipple for the steam tube to go back into the system

The pics are not that great and the axle is dusty but I got the rear braided brake lines installed from ORD
I was able to route them and clamp them so that not a single piece of line is touching and metal of the axle and tucked away pretty good.

Worked on the passenger side head and exhaust manifold
I purchased a set of brand new take off 2013 Camaro exhaust manifolds so that they tuck up close to the block and stay away from the frame so I did not have to notch the frame
The pic does not show exactly how much room is between the frame at the manifold
I will get another pic of that
It's to damn hot to mess with it any more today!

Finally got the drivers side head finished that was a pain had a broken exhaust manifold bolt that was flush with the head and as I was drilling it out to use an easy out I broke the third step up titanium bit in the bolt so I had to use a carbide bit to grind out the titanium drill bit out to remove it
But it's all good now!

I also was able to clean up the intake manifold and the wiring for the knock sensor and the steam tube
I used everyone's advice and put a bead of rtv on the grommet that protects the knock sensor hole

That's all I got for now!

Thanks for the picture intensive build thread. My poor 78 has been neglected until recently and stuff like this motivates me. It may also result in a divorce and bancruptcy but I'll have a nice K5!

It's a shame how ugly the intake manifold is on that engine, it looked beautiful before you put it on.
