ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

Installed new ujoints in the front axle shafts.
That was fun! ended up cutting the old ones in half with a cut off wheel and that sped the process up.

After I snapped these photos I realized that I had the caliper brackets reversed.:doah:
So, don't burn me down for having them on wrong in the pics :D

Also installed the new king pin bushings and the Ballistic Fab arms on the knuckles. I coated them as well for the accent and painted the axle shaft Duplicolor Cast Iron Coat so they would not rust after I cleaned them up.

I was not able to snap any pics my stupid smart phone was dead
Next time I go I will try to snap some pics

Does anybody else that does these threads feel like your talking to yourself

Just wondering

True! Usually when I post it's about thirty views that roll in per post. I just recently watched that

I had to make a tough decision today
I put my jeep up for sale
I really did not want to but I never drive it anymore.
Company vehicle does that to you.
But I guess there is a silver lining it leaves more money for the Jimmy!
Here's a pic of her I'm going to miss her!

I am here watching and reading. Not much to add so I just sit here in the peanut gallery observing. But you sure are doing nice work and doing it so quickly it makes it look easy. Keep it up! :waytogo:

Thanks man!
It helps when you have all the stuff already sitting and waiting on install
It goes pretty quick but it's about to slow down I think due to the painter

Part of the problem is that you know what you are doing. You're not asking for advice, or doing anything stupid, so people just read and look at the pictures. No real reason to post up.

Lol
It's that first part that made me laugh!

Thanks!

Nice jeep. Good luck with the sale. The Jimmy is coming out mint though, I like it a lot.

Thank you!
I really hate to let it go but the jimmy is more important to me

I may be dumb but what are those cables going from hood latch to roof for??
And the Jimmy is looking awesome!

They are called limb risers
When you are on heavy wooded trails they move the branches up and over instead of across the hood and up the windshield.
Got the idea from the land rover camel trophy trucks
After I saw them I made the kit and then when I looked on the Internet I found a couple of companies that make then for the jeeps
They came in handy in Oklahoma when I went on a couple of trails there

Cool I really like that idea. Would Come in real handy here too. Good luck on the sell.

Went ahead and installed the motor, trans and transfer case in one swoop.
Pretty easy when its all together and your swapping from one frame to the next just heavy on the engine hoist. Took 20 min! Not very good pics but I was in a hurry to get it done.
Also put the core support on for now.
I used the CUCV core support and had it powder coated as well. The only thing I can tell is different is that the headlight adjustment tabs are not there on the bottom but the cool thing about GM is that they have it stamped already I just have to cut out.

I was super proud of the way the powder coat turned out on the core support. It looks brand new!

And for those of you that watch ohhh so closely I did that before I installed the front axle completely.
Just fell behind on that post

Ok starting to put the Ballistic Fab high steer on.
I had the rod powder coated the same color as the frame.
I know that the drag link is not in the right spot in some of the pics.
I will have it in the right spot when its all done
