One sexy 34 year old !!!

Wow that's nice.
Is it restored or did you find a survivor.
It is a survivor to my understanding.

Looks like he used to ride her soft and dry her down before he put her up.
I like it rode hard and put up wet!

So you paid more than $6k for this nice clean specimen, and the first thing you want to do is replace the engine and transmission and wheels and tires and suspesnsion?? :dunno:
Because a good paint job one a clean truck will run you 10K easy! I wanted to start with a clean ride and just build from there.
The question shouldn't be why, but why not?
Agreed brotha!

I think that is backwards

Body work blows, id rather start with the best I can find and send that carb and low power motor back to the stone age.

Give me a 6.2 LS and 6 speed!

Clean truck:thumb:
Agreed! It's is only money bolw it!

Meh, it's his ride and he wants to repower it then why not? I say go for it!!
THX!
It would cost more then that to take a good clean truck and make it that nice to start with.:doah:

Trust me, I do know what it cost to get one that nice

It's his truck.

He could paint it pink and glue dildos to it every foot.

Why?

It's his truck.
Don't forget the pubic pin stripes

I just don't feel guilty, it is real clean but its still just a chevy truck, if this was a special low number car I would be on the same page.

To each there own:thumb:
Agreed,agreed,agreed oh and AGREED!

Now we're talkin! I love pink dildos!

edit, aww let down, you said pink with dildo highlights

They can be whatever color your lil' heart desires there muffin.
N2deep for me!

Bottom line, it is my truck I will do like I please! I love guys that get their panties in a wad over cutting up clean rides! Wait until it goes under the knife for the air ride it is going to get nasty!

Hey Shawn, go cut up a new body style truck and trash it. LOL

I say instead of the restorod deal, cut out the fenders and make it a trail rig :flipoff7:

Love the truck, love the idea of repowering it. Really really interested in watching the air ride come together, I've been itching to bag a dually for years.

Hate the wheel choice. I cant think of a worse looking wheel than what you've got picked out. To each his own, I'll be following this one.

Nice truck! I have a 63 C10 that I am going to put a LS motor in with bags and rack and pinon steering. Those are the same wheels that I have picked for mine, its kinda of a rat rod themed build.

nice...one of my instructors from high school had that same color rig...:bow::waytogo:

Its nice to see that you still have the k5 and didn't sell it. Its in my top 5 all time fav ck5 rigs.

On that note, I can't wait to see this truck done.

Well, I have a BIG PROBLEM! I am A.D.D big time when I picked up this truck I was so ready to go nuts on it but that soon fizzed out. I did not want to go on with my plans but that is not the first time that has happened to me. In my 15 years of having a drivers license I have owned, swapped, traded, bought, sold and tore up more cars and trucks then the law allows. So Friday I swapped this truck for another 1977 Chevy C30 that I plan on slamming and putting some 22.5 semi wheels on. Anywhoooo! Maybe one day this thread with stop being a waist of space and a bunch of chit chat and turn in to a build thread of some sort... Maybe. :D. I loaded the 1/2 ton up on my car hauler and I will be heading to Dallas to pick up the C30 that I traded for. Along the way I have got to pick up the 22.5 and I hope to find a cab and chassis rear axle so when I do the 6 inch static drop on the rear the tires will not hit the rear fenders. I also have to pick up the lowering kit and hope to pick up the 12v Cummis that I bought a while back. I think swapping a 12v Cummis in this thing would be sweet and then back it with a NV4500 trans! Anyway here is a few pictures for those that like pictures.

The 77 C10 loaded up and getting ready to go to it's new home in Dallas,Tx

Nice score. I saw that yellow truck on Harwell's website. They have some good looking vehicles. Let us know how they are to deal with.
