soo yea yesterday i was driving and my friend was driving next to me on the way to a friends house.. i asked what speed we were doing he said 65, my speedo said 53... it gets better... on my way home late that night i came to a stop and it still said i was going 10 mph.... now its way off all the time and i dont know wtf to do... i no of one i could get at a local salvage yard near my work... i was lookin for a new driverside rocker and striker panel there a couple days ago... btw what would u pay for that? they want 75 when they have one in that i want.

i think like $20 tops is fair... and it has to be VSS for that
someone probably has a whole cluster for sale for that either here or on ebay, check it out
 
sorry i must have not been clear... i duno how much for the speedo, but the replacement rocker and striker panel is 75 bucks.... u said u got a factory speedo and tach for 25? my dash has the speedo and fuel gauges in the center, how hard would it be to change that to the speedo and tach and move the fuel to where the broken ass clock is on the left side near the oil pressure, temp and voltometer?

how much for a new factory speedo and tach and a smaller fuel gauge to redo my dash???

ps is 75 fair for a junkyard rocker and striker panel??

speaking of speedometers,

i was driving from town the other day, and my speedo cable started making this ferocious noise, so i ripped my hand open trying to unscrew it under the dash and driving at the same time, i kept glancing at my speedo gauge, and it was winding up and down, and finally it wound so high, it busted the whole needle off because it hit the peg. i was royally piassed.:mad: Anyways, i wouldnt pay 75 for that stuff, get it new, you wont regret it
 
i haven't had a working speedo for years... why do you need one exactly?

HAH mine worked... but since I have a smc465.. havent gotten it calibrated.. dunno how... so I use my hp iPaq pda with a piece of software .....
that is my speed... :haha:
