if you have a stick welder they are special rods , where you but the rod in the hole and a friend stars the welder.and the special flux prevents it from sticking too sides but you got a small bolt.when a bolt moves and feels hard you put loosenut and work it back and fort by hand.trying too gain a bit at a time maybe take a long time but maybe not break.
 
Welding is difficult when the bolt is in cast iron or steel though,because its very easy to weld it right to the casting instead of the bolt alone..


That's how I permanently installed a broken header bolt shank, in my passenger head. :haha:
Went a little too crazy... :doah:

Cast heads, grade 5 bolt.... Living together forever.
