operation 1 ton suburban...*Head Unit installed*

Been while since i've talked to jason about anything he's done, but sounds like a plan to me. I agree with not wanting to spend the big$$ on a CV front. Hell, I am trying my damdest to find a 1410 shaft i can have modified to fit my truck so i don't have to spend the $$ on a new one. Looks like i know what to do now. Thanks,

i have a white K20 that looks alot like urs and i was trying to sell it, but after reading thru your thread, it reminded me why i bought/love my suburban. keep up the great work!
 
thanks! subs are fun to wheel.... just have to get use to how big they are.... before I had the sub I was wheeling a jeep xj... so going from that to this took awhile to get use to.....
 
yea no joke. i am still in the process of building mine up. about to put some 37s on. just finished my winch today and replaced the hydroboost and fixed an inop fuel guage. soone ill be trimming the fenders and putting a bedliner on the lower portion of the doors. i like the two tone look of yours
 
what else do u have planned fot yout rig??? what's the spec's....

its got front 4" springs, a zero rate, and a 4.5" DIY4x shackle. the rear just has blocks now, but i have some shackle flips to put on with some zero rates. 35" boggers soon to be 37s MTRs with 15" MRT beadlocks. has a 6.2 diesel, th400, 208, hope to 1 ton it at some point. going ot cage it. got a 12klb winch on the front. have some waterproof cameras and a monitor that im gonig to use to rig up an undercarriage video system. i cant remember what else at the moment.

yea they are security cameras that are suposed to mount outside. i got them randomly as a christmas present a while ago and didnt really know what to do with them. but im going to get some plexy glass and make little shields for them. the box says waterproof, but they shouldnt be submerged for very long, so im going to make little plexy glass boxes to make sure they dont drownd.

all of my pics are old ones. but ill go take some more in a minute, ive been meaning to do it for a while.

cool...... I like the center light console... is that steering box brace homemade??? yeah, get that shackle flip on there and ditch those stacked blocks... and to get the front to flex more, ditch the sway bar and loose the shorter shock... it will flex a whole lot better.. but you your going to need to cut the fenders... overall, nice rig...... I've never had a problem with the 3/4 axles....there plenty strong espically the 14sf....... I just wanted the piece of mind of not breaking axles out on the trail especially when wheeling a huge ass burb.... I'll post up some pics in a bit of my rig......
 
a friend of mine made the brace. he uses one on his k5 as well. yea i just havent had the time to cut the old shackles off and put on the flip. soon though. and im definately going to get rid of those shocks. i dont even think they work anymore. i have some 37s coming and will be cutting the fenders to clear them with some more room to flex. when you took of the sway bar, did you get alot more body roll? i will be using this thing on a few long drives and dont want to roll it, naturally, but i am unsure as to the usefulness of these bars. i heard from a friend that he took his off and it made minimal difference
 
well depends on your springs if there soft or stiff... I have a very soft/flexy suspension... and yes, it does roll going round turns, but it's not that bad.... take yours off and try it out.... if u don't like it put it back on.... I can't put mine due to the crossover steering... but it really doesn't bother me.... as for the shocks.. I'm running a 12.5" travel shock by using the AUX shock mount... hers a pic and I"m running 4" + 1" zero rate...
