The wheels are on my old dd which is now just a yard truck do to rust. I threw one on to see if I liked them or not. The wife really likes them, I dont think they look bad, but are they "out of style" nowadays?
I have stock steel wheels off of my 97 on there now.

I despise directional stuff.. but I tend to be a bit traditional... for me, they scream 80's cheez.... that's me...

That kinda what Im thinking/concerned with. My dd I didnt really care.
The other thing is that the wife isnt up on automotive trend type stuff either.

I'm not a real crossview of society imo... heck, I hate big rims/low profile.. and yeah, I hate all directionals since they started coming out... I like more traditional looks, Welds, Centerlines, rallies, slots, hurricanes, etc..

Ive never liked them. They scream 80s Iroc camaro redneck cheeze as said.

But thats coming from a guy whose got AR23s on his car and plenty of people would say that about them too. If you like them, use them.

I'm not a huge fan of directional, either...

I do, however, see where the wife is coming from.
They do add a bit of color/excitement, that breaks up the squareness.

They look hideous. But these days I prefer function over form. I'd run 'em if i had to without a single care as to how they look.

This coming from a guy who just HAD to have a set of H2s....

I think that is it. The other option is to paint the steel wheels black and put on the chrome trim rings and center caps, that would add contrast.

I really dont care about the looks that much, now that Im getting older. 10 years ago yes.
I dont have to run them, but I do have them as an option.
I actually prefer to use stuff or do stuff thats a bit different then the norm. I have a set of alm 6 lug rims that I havent seen before (around here anyways) that I would run if I could.

I'd rather run plain steelies painted satin black.. even without the trim...

i don't like them either. im pretty picky about rims. i dont like anything flashy. i cant stand the f350s that roll around on those huge rims with the stars and crap on them, (XDs?)... terrible....
i've got satin black steelys. lik'em. although i like some of the more 'stock looking' aftermarket rims from american racing and dick cepek even chrome or polished alloys.

I ran my K5 around for 4 yrs with satin black rallies with just the center caps and no rings and was fine with it...
