that's not really 80's, well the blue paint is.. the styling is more 70's... semi-traditional... close to a Hurricane...

I'd run em on something, minus the blue...

get some torque thrusts.....

I always wanted some of those on the Vandura!!!

And the hurricanes will be blasted and painted black and ill sand the ridges off on top. Im gonna run some steel rallies with the caps with the trxus mts from im gettin from a buddy, and see if i can find some old school MT fatty baja belteds to run on the hurricane wheels and run them strictly at the dunes because all those tires are so old and are unsafe for road use. I see em on CL though every now and then. Love those tires.

Torque thrusts are awesome. I do think however they are only really right on something about 1972 and older. Newer than that doesnt look right to me.

Ive also never been big on the hurricanes, sometimes they work on the right car, mainly musle cars built to the late 70's style. Think the blue Camaro from Christine.

However Weld Pro Stars could look good on a fukin prius.

I am going to get yelled at.

I am planning on 20" torq thrust or something a long the same lines on the '79 suburban after a 2" drop or and airbag setup. (its only 2wd) Its the wifes rig and will be her summer cruiser, after the blazer is set up as her winter rig.

Ok go ahead let me have it.

You wont get yelled at as long as you show us pics of it lol. And i would LOVE to have a black 2wd k5 lower it just a few inches, run bright red stock rallies with whitewall tires, a stick and a BBC. That would be fun as h3ll! And rebel79 that camaro looks sick with those wheels. Maybe i will paint em all silver like that, that looks pretty sharp i think

Shouldn't have to paint them turbines once ya blast them, they should come out in a silver kinda finish.

What you should do Adam is paint inside the spokes a gunmetal gray instead of black. You should probably blast them, then mask off the parts you don't want painted, then apply paint. That way you won't have sanding scratches on the bare aluminum. Then clear coat the whole thing.

Good point, but I think the sanded look on the aluminum would pop more than a blasted look. Blasting makes everything so dull.... Or maybe just blast em and clear coat..... Ill experiment with them when I get them. They will prolly be ten different ways until I find something I really like.
