Hi I found a 96 3500 dually 4 whl drive crew cab with most options except leather with a diesel 6.5 diesel with 83k on it.Only real draw back is that it's been mostly sitting for a couple years except for a drive up and dwn the drivewy every month. As a result theres moderate scally rust on the bottom It's not punky at all just surface scally.Guy wants 7000.00 I'm wondering what members think of the asking price.Everything works except AC top side ALL rust free even the dually fenders have no cracks opinions...... Thanks

I would offer much less than the asking price. Like 5K, if he says no move on.
The used truck market is flooded with that body style. If he wont accept a low offer, the next seller will.

It's the wrong time to be trying to collect on big trucks, sellers all over are starting to realize this and prices are going down. 7000 is way to high in my opinion.

Id offer 4500 but have 5000 in my pocket, otherwise Id move along. Nobody is going to turn down cash waving in their face. If you go and negotiate the price but dont have funds ready, dont count on getting a better price, CASH TALKS. You have the power right now. If they wont lower price, say "Okay, Ive got some others to look at, thanks for your time" Be prepared to walk away from the deal. YOu can also leave your number and tell them if they want to lower the price, to call you. I dont really do that out of principal, but its an option.

7k for something with a NON-WORKING a/c?!?!?!? like stated above, walk up with cash in pocket and make a $4500 offer...go as high as 5k and if he says no, tell him thanks and you have others to look at...money talks and yes it is a buyers market now for big fuel guzzling trucks...good luck
