holy crap, are those 35" ATs? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif the green-machine sure has evolved fast! I really like the TTC incarnation the best personally... such a kick azz rig.

Me too! I really admired the ORD K5 during the TTC days. It's cool now, but I really liked it as a full bodied 4x4.

sheeeot, if a jeep with a 100% chevy drivetrain and nothing stock save the frame can still be called a "jeep", then SWs rig is definitely a K5. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Definitely. No matter what you call it, its still sweet. I just liked the fact that it hit the hard stuff and still looked like just any truck that some guy had spent a weekend putting a lift and tires on. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The pic in the mag looked like a really old picture when he had the 14FF rear w/ Q78 Swampers. The other picture posted above is newer, I think, after he swapped a 12-bolt w/ FF kit back in the rear and was running 37's. Anyway, pretty nice looking truck.

That truck looks so big and pretty and....vulnerable.
I have to admit, for the best all around K5 (which I think the definition of a K5 is an all around truck) was right before the TTC build. I'd scrap the 10/12 setup (even though it worked it was pushing the front end to hold up to 37's) put in a GM D60 with the 14FF, maybe a GEN2 Doubler and run my 37" MTR's. Drivetrain DONE. Then put the light guards on the rear bumper like I did later and work on interior creature comforts so it would be nicer to drive down the road. And start fixing some of the rust holes that never seem to show up in the pics.
My intention was to go back to 37's or 38" radials after TTC and use it as a truck I could drive to the trails but using the 42's for a while spoiled that idea, and it's all been downhill, sideways and upside down since then.

Sounds like a great slogan there Stephen.../forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

That is kind of catchy!

On the original subject, I had forgotten about going on that failed photo shoot with Jim Allen, when he took the rainstorm/flash flood pic. That was on the Q-78's, man those were the good old days...

Happy to here thats your opinion. My plan is 14 bolt, dana 60 and 37 MT/Rs with a little armor. Its my dd though. Maybe a doubler someday.
