ORD Leaf springs & Fox 2.0 performance shocks

IMO especially with those springs a 6" lift is not going to clear 37x14.50s on 10" wide wheels. From everything I see the springs travel quite a lot and a tire that tall and wide will just simply not fit into the fender opening while turned.
Ok! what do you Think about this, 35/13.50 R15 on 10*15 rims, 4 inch ORD lift spring, hd slightly longer shackels, 1 inch zero rate blocks and 1 inch ORD body lift.

That should look and fit great especially if you use the zero rate and move the axle fwd an inch.

But if you get ORD springs, there would be no need for a zero rate. Stephen will set it up for the height that you want, and also the center pin location that you want.

As I said before, call ORD, talk to Stephen and he will help you.
I understand wanting 2nd opinions, but I would ask ORD as well.

I've got the ORDs too in 4". The ride is better and the flex is amazing, especially in front (I got all 4). I will caution that it's not exactly a bolt in situation, at least it wasn't for me. You go down a rabbit hole a little where you have to figure out how to deal with all the travel so shocks, brake lines, driveshafts, etc don't max out when flexing.

Regarding lift, mine came in more like 5" than 4" and I'm technically not even clearing my 35's. I can get some minor rub in front when flexed and the tire shoves up in there. I don't think 37's will go with 6" if you don't trim at all and are "using" the springs. I do have some hope that with minimal trimming I could get 37's to work though, and I'm not interested in severely hacking my body work.

One thing to think about is that if you get the ORDs, they can make them offset so the front axle is moved forward 1" or maybe 2 (?), and that can make a big difference with the rubbing. I didn't go that way but kind of wish I had.

I dunno why more people don't buy bigger bumpstops when going bigger on tires.. About the largest tire is 33 inch on a stock fender truck, anything above that has gotta be limited so it doesn't rub. The travel is useless if your tires shred your body or themselves.

I just buy more of these:hack:.

But yah to truly benefit from custom springs there is much to be done.

Here's my truck on 35x12.5 on 10" rims.
4" ORD springs, HD Shackles, 1" Body and I did some minor fender trimming.
Only after installing the ORD spring did the tires start rubbing not real bad.
I also should have moved the center pin forward.
Still no regrets on the purchase, just will some more modifications. :hack:

I'm running ORD springs on the front of my suburban. They are absolutely awesome! But be prepared to do a lot of work to truly benefit from them. I had to have my driveshaft lengthened, build new shock mounts, bend my drag link, change the Pitman arm and build new bump stops. They ride amazingly well and they flex like crazy, I'm running 35s and they tuck way up into the fenders. My springs settled down more than I expected, I am probably at about 3 inches of lift on the front which is really pushing the limits of how low you can go with cross over steering and leaf springs. I hit my bump stops a lot. If I had it to do over again I would have spec'd my springs 1 inch taller than they are just to keep from hitting the bump stops as easily as I do. I didn't build my suburban to be a pre-runner but I can't help wanting to open it up on desert roads.

I'm currently running 14 inch Bilstein 5100s. They don't have enough dampening for the springs in my opinion. I need a better shock still.

Wow!!! the flex one both the blazer and the suburban look Amazing:waytogo: Maybe I will ask ord to make my a set of 5 inch lift springs for my front! I will of course
reubildt both the bupstops and shock months, then I can if necessery play with zero rate blocks and 1 inch body lift!?
I Think I will go for a set of fox 2.0 shocks I can get my hand one those for a pretty good price and I have not Heard anything bad about them!

I have not read anything here about what your planning on using the truck for? You know what style of truck you want in the end. High speed, crawling, mud & snow or dare I say it a bro truck. I knew from the minuet I pulled the first rusty bolt I wanted a street legal-ish sleeper, leaf sprung, high speed, sand and dessert Blazer. I run ORD springs with fox shocks. I started out with standard 2.0 with a remote resi but within a year I was looking for more control so I ended up with triple bypass 2.5 remote resi on all 4 corners. Plan out what you want in the end make a list on how your going to get there and chip away at it. Changing one dynamic on a truck more than likely changes several connecting items so pay attention to what does what to what. Here a a vid of my rear springs and shocks working.

I think @sponsoredbydad s vid is a phenomenal example of that.

Triple bypasses are gonna control it really really well. Great springs with really awesome shocks = a good time

I have said that repeatedly. Just enough spring to hold the truck up, good bypasses and air bumps can be ran hard and fast.

But really feel bad for the shackle in that video.
