40" length, axle bracket for 14B or similar. Bar is painted with Seymour high solids Tan. Shackles are black Seymour. Axle bracket still bare for welding. Never been installed. Includes everything except the bolts for axle side which i never received with the kit. Summit machine flex joint at crossmember.

Only reason for selling is a 2 link traction bar will make packaging much easier on my K5 so seeing if anybody could use this. Or I will just make it work.

$400 OBO? Plus shipping.

Dang! No kidding. I took a look and ORD shows shipping for them from CO to that zip of $45. My guess is I could get it around there as well. If that doesn't scare ya I will get it in a box for a better idea? I use Pirate Ship for all my shipping stuff and they usually are pretty good.

That seems reasonable, I’m away from the truck today on duty for 24 hours. I want to measure and make sure 40” will work before I commit. I’ll get back to you tomorrow if that’s ok?

No worries! Looking at your picture your rear axle isn't moved much/at all so I bet 40" should be perfect. Just let me know. ORD says 40" for K5s as well.

Yeah I’m planning to replace the rear leaf/lift blocks with ORD custom springs and move the axle back 2-3” and add some length in the drive shaft, I’m sure it’ll still work, but I want to put a tape on it and see where the cross member is gonna land..

Nice!

Hey, sorry for not responding today, I had “a day” that prevented me from getting out there and measuring.. tomorrow “looks” promising so I’m hopeful I’ll get you an answer.. this is a dumb question, but I have to ask.. does the crossmember typically get welded above the drive shaft?

No its typically below. And then depending on how tall your truck is will determine if your shackle is down or up.

Well I went out and looked and 40” is the right length, but the problem is the exhaust is right where that the traction bar needs to be, it’s dual exhaust on both sides, and both mufflers are right above the axle, so now I’m thinking I’m gonna have to reroute the exhaust, at least one side.. I need to think about this and see what other people are doing with their exhaust when they run a traction bar

I run a single large muffler on the driver's side. Dual 2.5" in, single 3" out. Unfortunately k5s are at a premium for space under there.

Thanks for sharing.. I was kind thinking I might re-route the exhaust (for a 3rd time) when I move the axle back as the previous revision turned the tail pipes out the sides behind the tire. Originally they went straight out the back and the fumes would get sucked back into the cab. But I have about 3” of clearance between the tire and tail pipes, so moving the axle back 3” won’t leave enough clearance, plus it’s on 35s and will eventually go to 38s..

I definitely think we all go down the same path when modifying these things! I am on my 4th exhaust rehash as well.
