Ord VS Factory engine cross member (LSX Clearance)

I can only verify my combination :-)

Holley LSX Conversion Pan
ORD BBC Crossmember
Dirty Dingo adjustable frame mounts

With the DD mounts I was able to slide the motor back a few inches which gave me barely 1/4 on an inch between the pan and the crossmember. If the motor was was in the stock location, it would have hit.

Look in the last half of my LS build and you'll see a pic of the clearance I have.

I will have to dig out the oil pan and measure. I think It will be close.

Thank you.

Dude. Have the pan mocked up in the truck where it goes. I can give you a list of materials when I look at it. Then we can build what works with plenty of clearance for everything. Remember, I will have nothing to do for a month.

I havn't been able to find a picture of the one they make. I would at least like to see what I'm buying.

I still dig my TNA one.

Its like a piece of art I get to look at when I crawl under the blazer.

Late to the party with this but I can confirm the ORD HD member provides a plenty of safe clearance for the larger cast aluminum 8.1L oil pan where there was no way it would clear the original xmember. If the ORD xmember clears an 8.1L there should be no problem clearing the smaller Gen III oil pan :dunno:
