I have to confess and give credit where it’s due.
Member @mtnman210 helped me weld on my panels. It was so cool of him to bring his welder and help me attach it. I prepped the area and cleaned it up. Gave him whatever tools he needed. He had a real cool truck with “aircraft riveted panels” paint job. Hasn’t been active in a very long time. Family stuff I believe.
So I will get more pictures when the rain here stops and I’ve got time. I don’t think mine fit flat to the frame either but I also don’t remember using washers to bolt back up. It had the ORD brace as well.
I’m sure the hydro assist helps take strain off. Jury is still out whether crossover changes the forces any.
