ORU's 4 wdb master cylinder upgrade for our trucks

CamsK5 hasn't posted here in almost 2 years....

If he's here at all, he's just lurking.

Someone that knows him should bring him back into the fold.

:usaflag:

Don't you hate it when a thread builds up like it is going to answer the tech question that has been keeping you up at night and then it just up and dies?

SO WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THIS THREAD???:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Did you guys figure out which mc??

Cam sold the truck (to tRustyK5, IIRC, though I think he had to sell it recently) so I think no new development has occurred here.

ok then i am almost ready for big brake upgrade on my new build up. it might take me a month or so but i will buy and try a 4w disk p30 chassie master and see what happens.

Close. You got the buyer from Canada part correct. It was Paul (can can) who bought the big red dually V3500.

Dammit, it's one of those Canuckistanian mods =))

And SweetK30, I do NOT recommend the P30 master. I went through three of them before switching back to a stock style master.

Remembering that I'm on the left coast and don't speak Redneck, I'm not entirely clear whatcha mean by that ;)

I put the stock type back in because I was tired of warrantying the others.

The P30 style was wearing out on me; I'm thinking that the (stock, hydro) booster was pushing them farther or too hard, but that's just a guess.

why fo measn , please enlighten the inquiring minds as to the reasoning you deducted for the dislike of the p30 master.

i just got a p30 vacuum master and booster disc disc thing that im gonna put in my blazer, heard it works good. no real experience yet.

Keep us posted. Maybe it's just the particular brand of master I got was crap -- Raybestos, their other ones have been good for me -- or maybe it's something to do with the rest of the brakes on that truck.

I got tired of replacing them as they wore out every few months, even under warranty, so that's why I went back.

Damn, I read this whole thread just waiting to find out what MC it was. I also want to upgrade. I also have the D60 front and a rear Corp14ff with the TMS disk conversion. I already did the 4wdb proportioning valve swap from Inline Tube but have a stock MC and it is just barely adequate. I've spent a fortune on my rig, maybe I should just pony up for the ORU unit.

Is your truck hydro assist on the brakes?

Hydroboost rocks, but it would mean fiddling with your power steering setup (i.e. replumbing the pump.)

Or I could just pull the existing PSC pump and buy one of there hydro pumps to replace it. As much money as I've sunk into this Blazer now, I might as well just gold plate everything while I'm at it....:eek1:
