I went out with the kids and my buddy and his kids to do some fish'n on Fort Hood. We took the scenic route to the fish'n spot. Lots of trails that don't get wheeled very often. We even drove a few hundred yards down the creek. Here's a few pics. Sorry I forgot to call desertrat. Next time for sure. maybe on the 12th of April we'll go again.

thats cool. Have you got to be military to wheel there? I've been looking for a place down that way to hook up with a buddy from Austin for a little camping and wheeling.

Yes you have to be military. They require an area access pass for each vehicle and each person so I can't even take a friend that isn't military. You can get there without the pass but if the ranger or GW catch you its a $400 fine. Good wheel'n but not worth that kind of risk.

I'll pass, thanks for the info. Nice burb, btw. The taco looks good too.

Added to my list of things to do next year before I get out. :D

Major Sanders was an Aggie if I am thinking of the same one! I was working for KBR at FOB Ironhorse (now Loyalty) when 1st Br was there. :D

yup, that was the one. I was there for a month (December 04) as an LNO for my aviation unit. What a **** hole. I had a lot of fun hanging with the EOD guys though.

I have saw him once here on VBC/BIAP a year or two ago, he was good peoples.

We turned that place into club FED! It ended up being very nice, we went through and cleaned up all the trash and rubble and 'landscaped' it the best we could. :haha:

Do you get the passes from range control? Where are you allowed to go?

you get the pass from the rod and gun club. You have to tell them you are going fishing or bird watching or something like that.
