Going to move the Blazer to an outdoor canopy tent, do you guys think I should use a car cover as well?

I have a cat that scrambles up and down any car parked in this area, and also when it rains hard, little pieces of the canopy flake off and cover the car like dust (its an old canopy).

I think I just answered my own question, but what do you guys think of car covers? Does the car cover itself scratch paint? Wondering if it's better to let the Blazer get Dusty or to use a $50 cover from autozone

As long as the car cover itself can't move from air movement. Your fine.
Today's car covers are pretty good and are non damaging. But if they move from the wind it will rub the paint thin on corners and edges.

Those tent garages offer practically no protection ,other than keeping tree sap or bird crap, rain, off your vehicle..seen many nice cars and trucks ruined when one gets hit by a falling tree or big branch,or heavy wet snow caves them in..a carport with a real steel roof is much better..
