Over engine creeper

Being 6' tall, (the truck is stock height save 33" tires) I find that anything akin to a step stool gets me up far enough that leaning over doesn't hurt so much. Even a 5 gallon bucket in a pinch. Only danger there is if whatever you are standing on itself isn't stable, since your weight isn't distributed very well. It does tend to want to kick out.

But in any case, anything that means leaning over the fenders or core supports, gets uncomfortable pretty quick without being up a bit higher.

I hope I'm not the only guy who's feet slipped off the front bumper and then bruised ribs on the hood latch...
I have this problem when I stand on a buck or crate. Our concrete floor is smooth and stuff like that wants to slide out from under you.

This is my other go-to for engine work. Just beware of the cheaper aluminum versions, I had one and the rivets holding it together all came loose and it got real wobbly.

That's what I'm usually on for the crew cab. After accidentally running over my first one, I bought a nice Gorilla one that I like alot.

It's sounding like reviews are mixed on the handiness of a topside creeper.

Furniture blanket folded a couple of times over the core support works well.
This is what I have been doing for a while too. Thought about the topside creeper but storage was what stopped me. Not enough floor space when not in use.

Needs bigger cans.

I'm saying the beer can holders look undersized, that's all.

I doubt any are able to be consumed in that manner. Sometimes I think she has more plants than I do sockets.

Got some cash for Christmas and I was thinking about buying one of those over the engine creepers. Any thoughts/feedback?

I used two 10 foot step ladders and a plank across them one time- lying up there to change valve stem seals with the motor/ heads in the truck. worked ok. fell asleep up there for a little while. If I had unlimited space to store tools, i could see keeping on around -although with the people i am used to hanging with, i would feel a little vulnerable to flashlight probings and the "adjustable wrench butt poke"... occasional angry "ata boy!" like we all used to play baseball together or something...

but, only thoughts I REALLY have:
-does SHE come with the Kama sutra ladder? if not, can I go see her in action with it somewhere?
-its only sexual harassment if she doesn't reciprocate...
-totally worth the risk.

I bought two of the steps that hook over the tires on my pick up with stock tires, maybe you could scale up the design for oversized tires?
Allows you to work from the sides.

That looks like it will work with a true 12.50. would probably work with 33’s or 35’s; the white 1500 in the photos looks like its got 35’s

Edit: a review indicates it works on a 35x12.50
