Overpriced barrett jackson

I have been to several of the Berrett Jackson auctions here in Las Vegas. The older guys with money like those retro modified vehicles...such as a 1966 Stingray with LS9 motor, 50" wheels, 100 speed over-drive trans, and an interior that looks like something out of the space shuttle.

Some of these vehicles are not as clean as they look. I have seen so-called "frame off" restorations that have dried up crud on the frame that has been painted over because many of the vehicles that show up to the classic car auctions are just flip vehicles. You could spend a thousand labor hours getting every spec of crud off a frame-off resto, and still only get the same money as a flip vehicle with painted over crud. This is why people do not bother showing up to these auctions with a vehicle that is 100% concourse clean because the extra effort will not make you any more money.

I've been to the one here in SD, it's just like a big car show. Just w/ more expensive cars. Entertaining.
