241 to 205

Thanks for the reminder dale - It had somwhat slipped my mind in the recent mayhem of production, I will put the order in for the shafts shortly, the adaptor plates won't take long at all. Remind me, you after Figure 8 or 6 Bolt round?

-Kyle.

Are these going into regular production mode or is this a one-off thing? I want to hook a driver drop NP241 (circa 1994) to a Ford 205.

I was just about to order gears/detroit but maybe I'll buy a setup from you.

Hmm, just thinking out loud (or typing rather), but how much difference is there really between the 241 and 208 range boxes. I know that the 241 is a better case and design in a couple of areas, but I'm not aware of anything significant that would make the 208 planetaries unsuitable for this. And given that people are know to give away good 208s (or frequently sell/trade them for VERY little), would it make sense to do this with a 208? Or is there something about the 241 that makes it significantly superior for this application?

208's have a multitude of uses....

Backyard art
The cases work well for small plants
Oh... and for building "Beetles"
:haha:

ryan22re is looking into the 208 Doubler....

aren't the cases the same from the tranny to the case split?
if that is the case than the adapter plate would not change at all

as for the doubler i was just wondering if you guys had finished it yet or not and how you solved the adapter issue
you guys do awsome work and are great to deal with, when i have the money, (working on getting a second job and a roomate)i WILL get one of these

How about a 241 to 241? 7.4:1, would be nice for mild or light weight wheelers.

Can a chain drive case take that much torque and not explode? I'm scurred.

It would be the same thing as those guys running Klune-V's in their rigs with 231's & 241's. The only thing that scares me is the total length.

if he can get the 205/241 to work, that would be sweet, id definitely consider buying one!
