I'm not sure if my 85 K5 Silverado has been resprayed or not, but, here is the original GM paint codes....17 & 19, my truck is silver metallic and black, I have seen other silver and black K5's but mine seems to be opposite...silver/black/silver, instead of black/silver/black, this is why I think it's been resprayed...please goto my website www.bking.coloradok5.com and have a quick look, I need touch up paint, and I cannot find a match so far, anyone know these codes?

These are the GM codes and names for your colors-

17U Primary Color, Exterior, Silvermist

19L Secondary Color, Exterior, Lamp Black

GM did offer the black as the insert with the silver as the primary. So even though ther's not many out there, your color scheme could be factory. Unfortunately, it still could have been repainted so the GM paint codes might not offer a match.

When I repainted my K5 I stuck with the same paint scheme but used a lighter, more metallic silver to replace the grey insert.

Your best bet for touch up paint would be to got to a body shop and see if they can come up with a match.

Thanks, but where did you get that info?
All I found out was the black is called black -19 and the silver is light slate -17
